Alpha 3.0 software update includes several valuable tools that enhance the user experience by offering new data visualisation possibilities and integration with the Evolution autopilot.

New features and improved automatic role management

Alpha series large and sensitive touchscreen now fully supports Raymarine Evolution autopilot functions. The new control system allows for all major autopilot modes to be used, including maintaining trim, route mode and sailing by the best wind angle.

• • In journey mode The boat's position compared to the planned route is displayed in a 3D view, including visual deviation instructions and waypoint information.

• • Dodge function and continue the route The steering allows for quick manoeuvring around unexpected obstacles and then returning to the original course.

• • Steering according to the wind direction The function allows sailors to select a course based on the true wind direction, apparent wind direction, or the boat's polar performance chart to achieve maximum efficiency.

Advanced data visualisation and networked video support

In addition to controlling the Evolution autopilot, the Alpha display offers:
