AIS700 transponder: Class B transmitter and A/B Receiver SOTDMA

AIS700 – See and be seen!

AIS 700 is a Class B automatic identification system AIS transceiver, which is designed for use with a multifunctional navigation system. The Raymarine AIS 700 transmits your vessel's data as a Class B AIS transceiver (SOTDMA), also known as Class B+, and receives Class A and Class B AIS signals from other vessels.

This is a self-organised time-division multiple-access system used mainly by large commercial and rescue vessels (Class A AIS) and newer, faster Class B AIS devices, also known as B+ class.
